61 Days Left - What I'm Looking Forward To

Grüezi zämä (Swiss German way of saying "hello")
In the last days more and more of my fellow exchange students have got their hostfamilies and I guess we all know who will be one of the last ones to get one.... :)
Every time one of my friends get the news that they have got a hostfamily, I'm really happy for the person and always very eager to know what their families are like (f.e. one family has alpacas [kind of lamas] as pets).
Last Thursday we all met once again to attend an information briefing in Zurich. It actually was more interesting than I had thought in the beginning... Its soo cool, friends of mine are praying and doing whatever they can, so we (the ones who do not have a hostfamily yet) get one!
So as you can see, the thing I'm looking forward to the most right now is the hostfamily... Then the next thing is the summer, which is expecting us in Australia (see picture below). Next the new friends, the fact that I'm going to live in a completely new country and meeting the new culture are things I'm really looking forward to...

Wish you a very hot weekend (ahhh.. it's freezing cold here)

66 Days left?? Predeparture Camp

Hi guys!

I have just returned from one of the best weekends ever... Even though lots of the 30 attending fellow exchange students (either heading to Japan, Australia or New Zealand) had to travel up to 4 hours (including me) and we were in a very remote and cold place, we had lots of fun and it was really entertaining. We played some games, had some discussions, laughed alot and had a look at different problems which might occure during the next year.
In the beginning almost nobody knew anybody else, but in the end we all thought that we had all known us before we came to this camp.
It was great fun and I'm totally looking forward to see all the fellow students soon!

90 Days Left - Short Update

51 days have passed since my last post and not much has happened since then: I got a letter with a guarantee that I will have a guest family and each an invitation to a pre-departure camp and an information evening. The camp is in Matten, which is in the Swiss alps and I'm attending it from November 19th till November 21st. I'm really looking forward to meeting my fellow exchange students!!
The excitement is growing every day and I can't wait to be in Australia! Every day, as soon as I arrive home, I ask the same question: Has any letter arrived? No news about my guest family or about where exactly I'm going to live?

I read you five!

Oh, and yes, I will have to wear a school uniform :). If you'd like to see a funny video about not wanting to go to school and want to hear Aussi English:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lk5tyP2H4tc
